Beautiful Happiness - How to be happy

What makes you happy? Being embraced by someone you love or time with your friends? A holiday, an adventure perhaps? Or maybe that beautiful pair of shoes you just bought? 
The things is, that these are moments, and they will all change with time. The holiday will end, the shoes will become worn and our loved ones have lives to get on with too. Life will always be a cycle, some days are tougher than others, but this also means there will be more happy moments too. 
What I have come to realise over the years is how to cope when the tough stuff happens. In our darkest hours, it’s important that you have an emotional tool kit available.

For me, my own beliefs whisper to me when I go through emotional pain. Perhaps I have the privilege of age or experience to know this, but something quietly reminds me that one day I will realise this was meant to be and that I will be wiser for it. It allows me to just about hang on in there. 
The struggle with most of us, is that we try to fix things as quickly as possible when they are broken. Sometimes, taking care and really thinking about why it broke in the first place, can prevent it happening again.

This is knowledge, and with knowledge comes inner peace. When we find peace we know we will be happy again, even while times are tough. And once it’s there it can last a life time.
