Beautiful Thinking

Beautiful Thought - Finding a bridge to a happier life. Dealing with depression, anxiety and emotional pain.

There isn’t a person on this planet who hasn’t had a bad day. Some have bad weeks and some fight every day to wade through depression, anxiety and emotional pain.

I talk to people daily who use different coping mechanisms to help themselves get through. Addiction, self harm, eating disorders, are just a few of the ways in which we cope. Others just struggle to get out of bed and wear a smile.
If you are suffering from a mental health issue, try to talk to someone and please don’t give up. You deserve to feel better, to feel well. I appreciate it can be a struggle to get help from your GP, but there is help out there.
If you know someone is struggling, please be patient and understanding. It seems so many people still can not grasp that someone who has a mental health issue can not just “pull themselves together”. If you see someone who has a broken leg, you wouldn’t tell them to get up and walk! Our brain is an organ and can become unwell, just like any other part of the body. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

So please let’s all fight together against mental health issues. If you are a relative of someone suffering please find compassion and listen. If you are an employee or a teacher invest in your students and staff, they are not machines. If you are the one suffering, seek help. Please DM me if you want to, I will be happy to guide you to the right help and of course may be able to help you myself.
