Beautiful Centre of Self

Beautiful Centre of Self - A guru meditates on the ghats of the Ganges. Peacefully he goes within, oblivious to his surroundings, he reaches a places of calm and bliss.

Perhaps there has never been a more important time in our lives, to let go of the thoughts that occupy our mind. When we are faced with uncertainty, monotony, exhaustion and stress our thoughts may become over whelming.

Daily meditation gives our heads a regular cleanse. A respite from the chaos, a moment to relax and reset. Practice it daily and you will receive gifts in abundance. Your thinking will change, your concentration will improve, stress levels will reduce, healing will increase, sleeping will become deeper and more relaxed and so much more.

Controlling your breath with deep, slow inhalations will immediately help you to unwind. The practice is more about your thoughts, or more specifically, letting them go.

Don’t try to push your thoughts away, in fact don’t try and do any thing. Trying takes effort and allowing your thoughts in and observing them, then visualising them floating away as you exhale is much more helpful. Let them in, acknowledge them, then realise they are of no use to you in the moment and blow them away.

Focus on your heart instead of your head, place your attention there and imagine you sitting peacefully in this beautiful, safe loving space. Just be. Give your mind a rest, your thoughts are just words and most are unhelpful and untrue. Let go of the monkey chatter and remind yourself you deserve to sit in peace for a while. Your heart is your true centre, sit there and feel the peace.
