Beautiful Acceptance
In places like Tibet and Bhutan, I can’t help admiring the simplicity of their lifestyles. How their faith keeps them strong, and their outlook on life allows them to find peace, happiness and acceptance.
They reach their “high” through meditation, and they accept life as it is, and are actually very happy. In fact, Bhutan is regarded as the “happiest place in the world”. I can’t help wondering whether lockdown would bother them in slightest.
We can learn so much from those who live a simpler life, from those who need less.
Accepting this situation we find ourselves in isn’t easy in the Western World. I’m inspired by inspirational Buddhist quotes, including my favourite from Buddha Himself; “what we think, we become”. To think that we are doing this for the greater good, for both our own safety and that of others. To think that there may be a wonderful lesson or lessons, if we choose to learn from it. To think that humanity will survive and thrive through this and beyond. To think that this will pass and we will be ok, is acceptance.
If this is still too much to bear, try to accept that it helps to talk, to share. If something is struggle, it needs attention, it needs to be addressed and processed. Because you deserve to be happy, and despite all that is going on right now happiness can be found through acceptance. #acceptance
