Beautiful Place - So here we are, December is upon us, and for many this means a lot of stress. Throw into the mix an extraordinary, and for some, the most challenging year. You would be forgiven for wanting to scream, cry, reach for a drink or cigarette or just go back to bed.

Everyone has coped differently this year, and while everybody’s suffering may be different, it’s still just as real.

But running away from feelings or masking our problems may help in the short term, but long term....... not so much.

You are stronger than you might think, and you have within you, coping mechanisms to get through. When the mind is quiet and calm, clarity and focus become available to you. When you breathe deeply and slowly your body surrenders to a feeling of peace.

If you are feeling anxious, stressed, upset, or any other uncomfortable feeling, sit with it for a moment. Just allow the feelings to come and go. Process the feeling for a while, let your mind accept it. A quick fix only presses pause on the problem, it isn’t a long term solution. But when you take a moment to sit and just be with the cloud over your head, it will eventually pass.

When you control your feelings instead of letting them control you, you will feel so differently. Take yourself into a safe space and actually feel the feelings come and go, this means you’re in control of your life.
