Beautiful Touch

Beautiful Touch - Anxiety is crippling and terrifying for so many, especially during these difficult times of uncertainty.

Panic attacks, shaking, shallow breathing, headaches, sweating, restless legs, even a feeling of being out of your own body are just some of the symptoms related to anxiety.

But there are many natural ways in which you can combat these feelings.

Our brains are so complex that an anxiety or panic attack may well be related to something that happened in our past. Events from our past can trigger “reminders” which place us in fight or flight mode, from something traumatic to something that may seem logically insignificant as an adult. However, unless these events are addressed anxiety is like a rolling snowball, as it’s life continues it grows larger.

The good news is that even making a decision to heal yourself, is your first step to controlling your anxiety. If we control our thoughts and feelings, they can no longer control us.

It takes times and trust in both yourself and anyone who is helping you to reach that point of control, but it is possible to be the choreographer of your own mind.

Locating your feelings are the first step to control. Where exactly do you feel the feeling? Most of my clients pin it down to one area of their body. Understanding that it’s not everywhere and only in one part of the body feels less consuming and more manageable. Now try some self-love and place your hands in that area. Imagine love, calm, peace penetrating from your palms to that area. Imagine you are calming a baby or small child with your hands. Remember you are in control of your feelings every step of the way. Take your time, breathe deeply and slowly as you do this, be kind and patient with yourself.

Of course, addressing your lifestyle, by avoiding stimulants such as caffeine, sugar and alcohol will help. Also, a balanced and healthy diet will keep your blood sugars even.
