Beautiful Hope

Beautiful Hope - Good Morning and Happy Monday! As we come towards the end of 2020, where very few haven’t been affected in some way or other, perhaps it’s time to reflect. Without reflection, we cannot learn and grow.

It’s important to remember that so much has been asked of us this year. The transition from what our lives were before to the demands upon our natural human nature are stark, and deeply challenging.

The World has experienced life on an almost Biblical story level. Loss has been great in so many ways, the loss of loved ones, the loss employment and businesses, income and even homes. The loss of our identity in our day to day lives, our personal space and even our freedom.

We shouldn’t underestimate the psychological impact of not being able to see, touch and embrace. It goes against our very human nature and may have a real impact.

But, like all tough times we have an opportunity to take in some incredible lessons. From the tragic death of George Floyd which led to an essential need for the World to wake up to racism, to the recognition of a proper hero in the shape of a medic or hospital worker fighting on the front line. Recognising what is really important and what isn’t. Perhaps we all needed a wake up call?

So what do we have left? The answer is wisdom and hope. If the pendulum can swing into the year we never thought possible, then there is no reason why we should expect the complete opposite. Right? To be wiser we must learn from our mistakes rather than suffer from them and our hope must come from the wisdom that anything is possible.

Spend time in meditation considering what you have learnt from your losses this year and take the gift from them. Then visualise a kinder, happier, more loving future for you, your loved ones and the rest our World. Let’s all embrace hope. #hope
